The Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia (The Joy of Love) is a very important document in the Church because it speaks about love in the family”, not only addresses the main themes discussed during the 2014 and 2015 meetings of the Synod of Bishops, but also delves into the Church’s teachings on true love and the family. It also highlights the importance of sexuality and passion as a manifestation of true love as a gift.
March 19, 2021 marked the fifth anniversary of the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia and it will end on June 26, 2022, concluding at the Tenth World Meeting of Families in Rome. This will be a year of reflection on Amoris Laetitia and it will be an opportunity to deepen the content of the document. The spiritual, pastoral and cultural content and resources of the initiative are intended to reach families around the world and are to be implemented at the local level in parishes and dioceses, as well as in universities, by ecclesial movements and family associations.
